Lance Dofflemyer

Lance is a data scientist and application engineer with experience through the entire process of project discovery, design, and delivery.

His journey into AI and ML workloads began with time at both Southern Polytechnic State University and Georgia Institute of Technology. His coursework spanned electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, and machine learning and data science. With practical experience in electrical engineering, he made the shift to Machine Learning engineering as an application engineer in 2017. Since then, he has gained experience across a wide range of AI/ML workloads.

Lance holds certifications from University of California, Berkeley; HarvardX; U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and AWS. With training ranging from data science to Operational Security (OPSEC) and cloud applications and broad project experience, he approaches projects from deep technical expertise and practical business requirements and goals.

Based in the Atlanta metro area, Lance is the CEO at Tech 42, where he’s building a team that helps companies implement, optimize, and scale AI/ML workloads for profitability and long-term results. He is known for his ability to balance practical needs with future capability and his approachable and transparent communication.
